MOVED OUT OF STATE WITH A REVOKED MICHIGAN LICENSE??? HERE'S THE BEST ODDS FOR REMOVING THE HOLD!!

The problem with leaving the State of Michigan with unfinished license issues of the "revoked" nature, is that they never go away!! No passage of time will result in a free pass. The only positive thing the passage of time will accomplish is to put more time between the last time you drank/did illegal drugs and the time you petition the Secretary of State for driving privileges.

The longer your sobriety, the better your chances of getting your desired relief.

But, the long and short of it is....You must come to Michigan to resolve it!! Why!??! Because of the odds. Yes, there is an opportunity to participate in an "on line" hearing to have driving privileges restored but the odds of success with this particular type of hearing is low, very low!

It is the difference of very high odds for success with an "in person" hearing, as opposed to correspondingly low odds when "video hearings" are requested.

People that are serious about getting driving privileges restored, realizing that their is but one opportunity per year, understand this distinction and swallow the medicine.

Understandably, people disdain coming back to Michigan to deal with this situation but having dealt with this area of law for well over two decades, I have been able to streamline the process to make it as painless as possible.

Out of State petitioners must always remember that their relief is different than that of the "in State" petitioner in that the relief you are asking for is MUCH MUCH less restrictive, does NOT require a second hearing after a full year of an interlock device on your vehicle (with the attendant cost of installation and continuous calibration) and last but not least, you avoid the added cost of retaining the attorney for the second hearing. Which is just as involved as the first hearing.

When one considers all the restrictions attendant to the one year "probation" the petitioner must endure and the costs associated with it, coming into town to resolve the driving issue and leaving after the hearing WITH FULL DRIVING PRIVILEGES is actually less expensive and much more palatable.
